Today is the first day of the rest of my life – it’s also my last day in the office for 12 months.  I’m exchanging my desk, my phone, my commute, my daily routine today!

Having cycled around 3,000km since January, to sailing 40,000 nautical miles.  From 8 hours regular sleep to 3 or 4 hours sleep every four or six hours (if I’m lucky).  From wonderful meals cooked by my husband

Madagascar and Cycling

I never expected to be reminded of this movie line as I cycled around Lake Geneva. But then I never expected to be dancing until midnight to the amazing sound of one of Turkey’s pop idols, Mustafa (“Musti”) Sandal. Nor before riding 180km only having four hours sleep!
